Long bio

For features & introductions

Laurence Paquette spent 15 years in global marketing and brand leadership, culminating as VP Marketing & Brand at Vestas, the world's largest wind energy company (EUR 20B revenue, 35,000 employees, 80+ countries). She ran a EUR 10M+ annual budget and led campaigns that shaped EU energy policy and made it into The Economist, Variety and TIME, including the world's first wind-powered concert tour and advocacy work that contributed to Denmark's DKK 50bn offshore wind reform.

Along the way, she discovered she's neurodivergent. That discovery changed how she understands leadership, communication and what it actually takes to perform at a high level without burning out or pretending to be someone she's not.

Today, Laurence is a fractional CMO, executive coach and keynote speaker, working with corporate clients and speaking at events across Europe and North America since 2019. She's completing an executive coaching certificate at Henley Business School and has built a personal following of 85K+ across LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.

Her first book, Lead Anyway: 10 Rules for Leading When You Break the Mold, is forthcoming with De Gruyter in autumn 2026. It's a leadership book for people who've never quite fit the corporate mould: introverts, neurodivergent professionals and unconventional thinkers.

Laurence is trilingual in French, English and Danish, and a dual Canadian-Danish citizen based in Copenhagen.

Review quotes

What people are saying

"You don't have to be loud to lead." That is the line in Lead Anyway that really stuck with me. This book is inspiring for all of us who don't fit the dominant norms. Laurence gives us the tools and reassurance that we have what it takes to lead, and to lead effectively. A must read!

Dr. Poornima Luthra Senior Faculty, Imperial Business School

In a world that pulls us without asking, Laurence gently brings us back to ourselves. This book is about shifting perspectives, reclaiming intention and becoming the kind of leader who moves others not by force but by authenticity and heart.
